MIG & TIG welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
At Rhodes Fabrication, we are here to help if you require MIG & TIG welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. We have provided these services to a wide range of clients over the years and can be counted on to deliver exceptional results which stand the test of time.
There are several similarities and differences between MIG and TIG welding. Both processes require the use of an electric arc and shielding gas. However, differences include the welding electrodes used to produce the arc. MIG welding is also called metal inert gas welding or gas metal arc welding, whilst TIG is also referred to as Tungsten inert gas and gas tungsten arc welding. Although both MIG and TIG welding use an arc, the electrode used for TIG welding is a non-consumable tungsten electrode which is used alongside a separate consumable filler material.
